Lotus Holding began its operations in 2012 in the field of supplying mineral and chemical materials for the country's drilling industry. The company is active in the production of mineral products (under the Lotus Powder brand), chemical products (under the Lotus Shimi brand), food products (under the FoodFood brand), and the manufacturing of machinery for the mineral industry.

In 2017, Lotus Holding established its first mineral processing plant in the Kavian Industrial Park, Mashhad, on a land of approximately 10,000 square meters. Lotus Powder, a subsidiary of Lotus Holding, initially entered the market with high-quality products, enabling it to dominate the oil well drilling market in Iraqi Kurdistan. In addition, it has successfully expanded its exports to southern Iraq, Turkmenistan, and the Persian Gulf countries.

Moreover, by producing crystalline barite powder, bentonite, kaolin, talc, calcium carbonate, hematite, and other minerals, the company has secured its share in the domestic market. Since early 2020, Lotus Holding has prioritized the processing of metallic minerals. The company has taken its first step by establishing an ore enrichment line with shaking tables and aims to achieve high-grade metal concentrates with the installation of flotation cells.
